“Transmission” means transmitting the teachings, and “Lineage” means passing on. The supreme teachings of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are passed on to patriarchs, and through the propagation of the Dharma teachings from generation to generation, the Dharma lamp is always shining, and the Dharma wheel keeps rolling.
