Venerable Lung Du Yung Jing Rinpoche, the Dharma Heir of Vajrayana, immersed himself in the study of Mahayana sutras and commentaries for more than 30 years. He took refuge in Mahayana Buddhism under the guidance of Master Huei Hsing in 1989.

He engaged in profound exoteric practice, delving into the Buddhist scriptures. Compassionate Guru Lung Du Propagated the Vajrayana and Tantric Teachings in Taiwan

From the beginning of practicing Vajrayana from compassionate Guru Lung Du, he was impressed by the specialness of Tantra teachings and practice, and quickly received special blessings, and the induction and certification were quickly and powerfully!

Therefore, he devoted all his energy to the teachings of Vajrayana, and at the same time get close to the virtuous master who has the true power of liberation, systematically study Vajrayana, and focus on the sea of ​Tantrayana scriptures; because of the sincerity of the heart, and continuous diligent practice on listening and thinking, the master also gained the true view of emptiness and the supreme view of Dzogchen. Dual Endorsements from the Gelug and Sakya Sects

Known for his authentic achievement, Venerable Guru Lung Du Yung Jing Rinpoche received many major yidam empowerments from lineage Gurus of all four major Tibetan Buddhist sects before his formal recognition. Over the past thirty years, he has received more than a thousand special empowerments from Gurus of these sects. His remarkable journey on Dharma pursuit led to his recognition by the Gelug’s Jiamuyang Tubudan (The Living Buddha), and the Sakya’s Chogye Trichen Rinpoche, entrusting him with the mission of spreading the precious teachings of Vajrayana Buddhism.

Venerable Guru Lung Du is historically the first Han Chinese Rinpoche to be certified by both Jiamuyang Tubudan, the foremost living Buddha of Yonghe Temple in Beijing, and by Chogye Trichen Rinpoche—the holder of Sakya’s throne. This unique distinction marks him as the only Han Chinese Rinpoche to receive dual recognition from both the Gelug and Sakya patriarchs.

On October 5, 2003, the Living Buddha Jiamuyang Tubudan conferred upon Venerable Guru Lung Du the Vajra Acharya Great empowerment and the Yidam Great Empowerment, at Yonghe Temple, officially recognizing him as Lung Du Yung Jing Rinpoche. This event marked him as the first Han Chinese Living Buddha certified in Beijing’s Yonghe Temple.

The Dharma Name Lung Du Yung Jing, in Tibetan, signifies The Melodious Sound of Teachings and Realization. The Living Buddha Jiamuyang Tubudan, holding a Geshe degree, or PhD in Buddhist studies, was advanced in age. He expressed that he would no longer teach or transmit the Dharma to disciples before the recognition, making Venerable Guru Lung Du his last disciple of the master.

The 25th Lineage Holder Chogye Trichen Rinpoche of the Tsharpa Branch of the Sakya School granted The Holy Guru Chokyi Gyetshen the Certification of “Vajra Guru.”

On June 14, 2005, Chogye Trichen Rinpoche impressed by Venerable Guru Lung Du’s (Chokyi Gyetshen) years of practice and propagation of Sutrayana and Tantrayana Buddhism in Taiwan, recognized him as a Vajra Guru. This certification was granted following deep meditation and auspicious signs, honoring his profound past-life connections and beneficial activities for sentient beings. He was bestowed the Dharma Name Chokyi Gyetshen, in Tibetan, meaning the Dharma Dhvaja.
